If you already read maxwells book like I have twice it garlow's book will help you apply the concepts. Leadership is nothing to be afraid of because it gives you a better life not just the reponsibility of leadership. I hope everyone a great life journey...

Hey iam in the middle of james garlow’s book which applies the 21 laws to actual leaders in history and I think it would hep anyone better understand maxwell. It cannot be done. Which is why the law of the inner circle is so important. A good leader picks people with strengths to balance out what his/her weak ones are. Simply put, leadership is influence, and these 21 laws will reveal your strongest, most natural areas of influence. It is more of an overview, while his book 360 Degree leader, or Developing the Leader Within You might provoke more thoughtful, tangible questions about how to improve. You can probably tell I am decent advocate of Maxwell.

Your right, Maxwell’s laws can seem overwhelming, but he is the first one to state that no one person can possibly acheive all 21 laws. At what age do people normally realise that they are 'better than' everyone else and therefore feel the urge to lead them? Do they see everyone else as just floundering around and in desperate need of some ordering about? And do they know the destination before they start leading or do they just assume that some cause or other will turn up? Do they need to actually espouse 'the cause' passionately, or can they lead merely as an intellectual or financial exercise? Please enlighten me.

It's all a total mystery to me.
